"If you do not want disability used against your group, start thinking about what you’re doing to reinforce ableism in your own speech. If you do not want people of color to be called feeble-minded, or women to be called weak, or LGBT people to be called freaks, or fat people to be called diseased or working-class people to be called stupid — all of which are commonly used disability slurs — then the solution isn’t to try to distance yourself from us and say, No! We are not disabled like you! The solution is to make common cause with us and say, There is nothing wrong with being disabled, and we are proud to stand with you."

yes! and this also goes within different disabled groups, the solution isn’t to say oh, we aren’t like THOSE disabled people, the solution is that all of us together say it’s okay to be disabled, any kind of disabled, all kinds of disabled, multiple kinds of disabled.
None of us will go anywhere without this type of solidarity, so it has to come from everywhere. There is no other option.

appreciate brown eyes more bc the people with brown eyes are grown up forcing to believe fuckin blue and green and grey are beautiful and either detest or get incredibly happy when someone compliments their eye color stop letting this happen
there are people with brown eyes reblogging this and theyre talking about still being sad with their eye color and this is exactly why we need hype about brown eyes
Brown eyes are in so much need of love
It’s a super tiny thing, but I always felt bad that my eyes weren’t one of the “pretty colors.” I liked the color of my eyes, and would sometimes stare in the mirror, close up, trying to figure out why I liked them so much. Because they weren’t one of the pretty colors.
Now my girlfriend calls me her “beautiful brown-eyed girl” and I can sort of remember what it was like to be nine years old and staring into the depths of my own eyes, trying to figure out what it was that I saw.
